Vendor's view:
We bought this house 20 years ago and were taken by its light, bright airiness, and its proximity to the heart of Chelsea, the football ground, and the Brompton Park. We were also enamoured of its own private patio and rooftop deck.
The shopping and Restaurants are wonderful here: it’s the sort of place where you go out to buy a packet of tea bags and return with a bottle of rose.
Architecturally designed, the three-storey building, which although is on a busy road is slightly set back from the road and completely double glazed so that, although it is on a bustling London street, once you’re inside, it is really quiet. And, incredibly, it has its own parking space which is most unusual in Chelsea.
We like a lot of light. Natural light pours into the lounge, dining room and kitchen. You can look onto the patio from the kitchen where we have barbecues and evening drinks. Chelsea is wonderfully 'bustly' and cosmopolitan, but sometimes it’s delightful just to sit in the privacy of your own outdoor space, and enjoy the peace. Leaving the property will be an enormous wrench. Neighbours will occasionally pop over for a glass of wine or cup of coffee, and absolutely, we will miss that. However, we want to move closer to our friends and family in Kent.
